Personally, I had to deaden the inexperienced, opinionated, hater voices of those closest to me to stay focus. If I was to succeed in real estate, in addition to my vision of what that looked like, I needed to model my efforts after those who possessed a proven track record of real estate success. Further, I had to understand my experiences differed greatly from others’ own. My fears and insecurities were different. My “why” felt different!! I felt this was in fact all or nothing.

1. Why are you interested in real-estate rehab? (money, social change, the challenge, legacy) *

2. Based on your answer to question number one, how do you define success? In other words, how will you know you have achieved your goal (your why)? *

3. Does your “why” consider others’ well-being? If yes, how? (Be specific.) *

4. Is your “why” big enough? Does it out-weigh the fear and financial risk real-estate rehab involves? In other words, will it keep you from throwing in the towel when the going gets tough?

Because real estate related wealth has a way of creating a false sense of security, if not careful, you can spend the money as fast as you can make it. And that’s just what I did. Until it was gone! And don’t say “this won’t happen to me”. Because it could… this is an easy trap to fall into.

So again, honor your why if discovered earlier. Then, coupled with the careful and prayerful application of the information in this course, you will be empowered to stay focused and achieve your real estate rehab goals. *
